10 hours of delight in the skies… A perfect trip with Turkish Airlines
I have previously travelled with Turkish Airlines only on medium haul flights with narrow body planes, from IST to Bucharest, Milan, Sharjah or Ashgabat and I was really excited to discover the real Business Class on some long flights so recently I experienced return flights to Singapore, on a 777 and also on a 350, both being really impressive.
In fact the differences are only a matter of space, because the services and quality of how you get treated on board is always the same on Turkish Airlines flight.
I have flown on night flights so I had the chance to take full advantage of the full flat comfortable bed. After the dinner is served, the flight attendants come and prepare the seat for the night, putting a special soft mat and a warm blanket and pillow on your bed and the lights turn off to a blue ambiental mood, very discrete for a good rest.
The food on board was as usually, outstanding. Two meals, one in the evening and one in the next morning, both prepared by a chef who explains and recommends you all the details from the menu with a lot of options.
I tried as starters the mezze and also mozzarella and for the main course a very tasty beef steak, instead my wife opted for a delicious grilled sea food plate. And for the dessert, fresh fruits and Turkish delights.
The breakfast was with omlette and pancakes, fruits and warm pastries that smelled so gooooood…
The drinks menu is very rich, with a lot of good whiskies, including a single malt one, French Champagne and a very nice variety of white, rose and red good wines.
Hundreds of movies and TV programmes available on the wide huge screen and a perfect sound, powered by the high end DENON headsets. And a very cute cosmetics bag.
The bathrooms are very spacious and you can find here Molton Brown cosmetics. The cabin has also two standing bars where you can find during the night snacks, drinks and fruits.
So you have everything you need for a relaxing trip and you feel almost like in a hotel room.
Before the flight you don’t want to miss the huge Business Lounge at the Istanbul airport, with a lot of relaxing spaces and so many many food options, especially with some tasty Turkish specialities…
So it was really an amazing trip and I don’t know how fast the 10-11 hours to Singapore have passed, definitely Turkish airlines has one of the top Business Classes I know, I would have flown more… 🙂
